CANTECA DE MACAO are back with Lugares comunes (Dro/Warner, 2015), their most naked and personal record. In this work they have let go of their prejudices and stereotypes, closing the door on the ghosts of the past; having decided to reveal themselves musically, they are singing from the heart. It is a different record in which all the songs are composed by Anita and Chiki and where their musical quality appears more concentrated and contagious than ever. CANTECA DE MACAO move the fight from the streets to their souls, to speak of inner growth, of precise and precious moments, of loves and pains that arise within.
