LA IAIA

After having won the latest edition of the Concurs de Maquetes Sona 9 demo competition with the demo El meu vaixell, the young group from Vic MMVV presents their first album, Les ratlles del banyador. With a sound reminiscent of independent references of Anglo-Saxon folk and singer-songwriter songs with Mediterranean influences, La iaiaintend to contribute new elements to the music made in Catalonia, in a fresh and original way. The group, led by Ernest Crusats, is developing a repertoire that speaks of everyday experiences, a critical view of the world, with ironic touches and reflections on culture itself and a way of understanding emotions and feelings from Ernest’s particular point of view.
