DOIS, POIS

DOIS, POIS are two; an accordionist and a drummer. The highly unusual mixture of polyrhythms emerging from the keys of the keyboard and the percussion of the timpani give rise to new rhymes. At a given moment, it is the bellows of the wind instrument that is playing. Shortly afterwards it is the bass drum that takes over and unleashes the harmonies. A dialogue or rhythmic conflict is thus established between the two protagonists with the mediation of electronic music. In their repertoire, DOIS, POIS dare to interpret the ideas of young Portuguese composers by way of innovative language.
