A CONTRA BLUES come back fighting with their latest work, Jab (self-published, 2019), an album that shows the maturity of the band where the group recovers its most significant influences. The leitmotif is clear: rock’n’roll. Jab gives us a raw, direct, hot and, at times, wild sound. We find classic reminiscences, as in the guitars of Magic Sam, Jerry Reed and Bo Diddley, the aroma of legendary bands, like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Feat, The Sonics or The Allman Brothers Band, and touches of sounds like those of Chris Isaak or Ben Harper.
