After the acclaimed Jazzmaica (BankRobber, 2014) that allowed them to perform sixty concerts all over the country and even publish in Japan, THE GRAMOPHONE ALLSTARS BIG BAND returns this autumn with a new album and a new show, now widening the rhythmic range with their eyes set on other islands of the Caribbean. Maraca Soul! (BankRobber, 2017) will add new colours such as boogaloo or latin to their familiar master formula, that meeting point between soul, jazz and funk with Jamaican rhythms, ska and the voluptuous arrangements of the big bands. Genís Bou leads this project where some of the most important musicians of the new jazz scene of the country come together along with the vocals of Judit Neddermann, Kathy Sey and Yolanda Sey.
