ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY
BLICK BASSY sings in Bassa, one of the 260 languages spoken in Cameroon, now in danger of disappearing. On his third album, Akö (Nø Førmat, 2015), he is accompanied by instruments that are rare in African music, like the cello or trombone. His voice navigates between the blues of James and a certain New Orleans sound with an African substrate charged with the personal tastes of the artist.
