ANTONIO LIZANA

Few musicians make the transition from jazz to flamenco and flamenco to jazz with such restlessness and naturalness as ANTONIO LIZANA, the young saxophonist and singer from Cadiz with a résumé that includes collaborations with the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra of Arturo O'Farrill (Grammy included) and partnerships with Raimundo Amador, José Mercé and Chambao. In Vic he presents Quimeras del mar (Sony Music, 2015), a second work swinging between festival and solemnity, between dance and meditation, which almost leads us to believe that the port of Cadiz is a neighbourhood of New York illuminated by the light of the Mediterranean. A bursting new talent of unquestionable renown.
