COETUS & ELISEO PARRA

COETUS is a daring project of an orchestra of Iberian percussion. In the Iberian Peninsula there are a number of largely unknown percussion instruments, which throughout history have been used to accompany dances, songs, or mark the passage of processions. These instruments are played separately and in the role of accompaniment. The experiment of COETUS consists precisely in joining them and giving them their own language, inspired by traditional rhythms and creating an active dialogue between them and the vocals.
