Ara Dinkjian, founder of the groundbreaking group Night Ark, showcases his unique oud playing and timeless compositions in this performance.
Ara Dinkjian collaborates with some of the best contemporary Greek soloists, who seek the common routes between the Balkans and the area of the Eastern part of Mediterranean, presenting their virtuosity through their improvisations. Ara Dinkjian’s compositions, based on his Armenian roots, are also influenced by his living in the western world (U.S.A.) along with a touch of jazz, his sound seems nostalgic but at the same time very familiar.
But, at the end, this is what Ara Dinkjian is: an Armenian in America.
