Canarian folklore and Latin American folklore, with touches of jazz, are musical sources that have been present throughout JULIA RODRÍGUEZ's life. The mixing of folklore and traditional instruments, like the Canarian timple or the Venezuelan cuatro, with more modern sounds has helped her create a language of her own, combined with a voice that is both old and new, which joins the sound of this new generation of young singer-songwriters, like Silvana Estrada or Valeria Castro.
