FILHO DA MAE

FILHO DA MÃE is Rui Carvalho’s alter-ego: an archaeologist turned into a full-time musician. His solo project, which began in 2010, mixes rock, noise and hardcore influences with the subtlety of classical guitar. Nine years, five albums and many concerts later FILHO DA MÃE became a reference in Portuguese music culture. His music is personal and intimist: a result of his passion and intense way of living. Each performance is impressive as his mesmerizing technique is presented in a very honest and crude way and leaves no one untouched.
