YAWNERS

YAWNERS is the group of the guitarist and composer Elena Nieto, a project based in Madrid and currently completed by drummer Martín Muñoz. A short time after starting the band, Nieto began to self-publish their first songs and to schedule the tours with a clear DIY philosophy. In her début album, Just Calm Down (La Castanya, 2019), she explores the most pop and forceful sound of the 90’s, letting herself be influenced by classics like Weezer, Pavement or The Breeders, as well as by contemporaries such as Japandroids, Snail Mail or Waxahatchee.
