Meral Polat Trio

MERAL POLAT TRIO takes the audience on a journey through contemporary Anatolian folk and mountain songs with raw blues sounds together with Kurdish soul. Terrestrial, promising and emotional. Driven by the poetic legacy of Meral's father, Ali Ihsan Polat, the trio sets out to investigate and interpret love, vitality and melancholy of the heart. Their first album, Ezkî ME (Who Am I?) (Self-published, 2022) recounts stories that are universally familiar, giving them new meaning.
